Warm, sunny week ahead in Kamloops, Okanagan

Sunshine is the word that describes the weather in the Okanagan and Kamloops this week.

The Environment Canada forecast calls for mainly sunny skies today, Sept. 19, in Kamloops and the Okanagan with the meteorologists predicting straight up sunshine for the rest of the week. The weather office is calling for a mix of sun and cloud on the weekend with no rain.

Daytime high temperatures in Kamloops this week will be in the 20 Celsius to 22 C range. By Sunday, the mercury could hit the 25 C mark. Nights will be chilly with lows down to around 8 C.

The Okanagan should see both high and low temperatures a couple of degrees cooler than Kamloops.

Normal temperatures at this time of year in the Okanagan and Kamloops are highs of around 19 C and lows around 7 C.
