Habitat for Humanity Kamloops
Special Event Coordinators - Are you in need of event planning experience, or just enjoy planning events? We are looking for people to help us organize, plan, and hold our key ceremony, and groundbreaking ceremony for our Habitat for Humanity Kamloops builds. 18+ to volunteer. Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation
CIBC Run for the Cure Organizing Committee - Be part of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure organizing committee and a dynamic team raising funds towards breast cancer research in your local community from Mar. to Nov. 2015 (Event takes place on Sun. 50th Anniversary Gala Planning Committee - The BC Wildlife Park is celebrating their 50th Anniversary with a gala dinner event. We're looking for volunteers to join a planning committee to help plan our grand celebration for next year. 18+ to volunteer. 250-572-4653.

Elizabeth Fry Society
Resource Development Committee Member - The volunteers will work with the Executive Director and the Fund Developer to develop and implement the Society’s fund development plans. This will include assisting in the planning of the 3rd Annual Hearts for Homes Gala in November. All the members will need to attend the regularly scheduled meetings once a month. Alzheimer Society of B.C.
Support Group Facilitators (Chase, Ashcroft, & Merritt) - Are you interested in making a real and profound difference in the lives of people caring for a family member with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia? The support group facilitators organize caregiver meetings, communicating with the Alzheimer Society of B.C. staff, maintain group attendance records and use Alzheimer Society materials to provide information to the groups. The objective of our groups is to strengthen the coping abilities of caregivers and reduce the impact of dementia on the community. *Please note that we're looking for facilitators in Chase, Ashcroft, and Merritt at this time. People In Motion
Volunteer Tax Preparer - People In Motion is participating in the Community Volunteer Income Tax Clinic (CVITP), and are looking for volunteers to complete simple tax returns for people with disabilities and low incomes. The volunteers will pick up the tax returns, and they can be completed either at their home or in our office, they will e-file the returns for the clients, and mileage is paid. 19+ to volunteer. 250-376-7878.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kamloops
In-School Mentoring (Big Buddy) - The volunteers will be a positive role model and have a desire to make a difference in the life of a child. Volunteers will spend one hour a week with a child (Your Little Buddy) in their elementary school, playing games, making arts and crafts, and just being friends for the duration of the school year. 15+ to volunteer. 250-374-6134.

John Howard Society
Community Support Volunteers - Volunteers will work alongside the Community Support Workers to support men and women in life skills development and positive activities to enhance their quality of life and socialization. The clients are adults of all ages who are reintegrating into our community while on parole. Volunteers will be matched based on their experience, interests, and ability to work with the specific type of client. Mentors - Now recruiting to link caring and capable adult volunteer mentors with 100 youth, 6-15 years old, on a waiting list. Enjoy the activities you're interested in and share them with a young person. Men in particular are needed for the many boys unmatched! 18+ to volunteer. 250-374-6134.

Kamloops Immigrant Services
ESL Tutor - Volunteers will help a newcomer/immigrant in Canada learn and or improve basic English skills, speaking, reading, writing, etc. 19+ to volunteer. 778-470-6101.

Developing World Connections
Administrative & Website Assistant Volunteer - The volunteer will assist with various administrative tasks including database and spreadsheet entries, updating forms, uploading website content, organizing digital photos, and receptionist duties. The volunteers must have computer experience including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Publisher), the Internet (WordPress), and have a good command of English. 18+ to volunteer. In exchange of a 1 year commitment of at least 8 hours per week the volunteer will receive an all expense paid DWC trip. 250-434-2524 Ext: 16.

Sports Mentor - The Sports Mentorship Program is aimed at sports enthusiasts interested in mentoring a child or youth who shares a mutual passion for sport. The pair will meet once every two weeks and participate in activities focused around sports, whether it be playing, practicing or watching. Administrative Assistant Volunteers - Do you want to enhance your skills, enjoy working with a diverse population, and want to give back to the community? Volunteer Kamloops has exactly what you're looking for! The volunteers will perform reception duties, answer phones, greet and direct clients, data entry, print/copy/fax, and more. The volunteers must be computer literate, and have good communication and English skills. 19+ to volunteer. Preference will be given to those that can commit 6 to 8 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months. 250-372-8313.
