With the 29th annual Light a Bulb underway, Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation has raised $40,942 since launching November 9th.

“Service clubs, community groups, businesses and individuals are helping raise $250,000 for high definition camera heads and control units for operating rooms at Vernon Jubilee Hospital,” said Campaign Chair Kevin Arbuckle.

The new equipment will provide the surgical team at VJH with the tools to perform minimally invasive surgical and diagnostic procedures.

“Less invasive surgeries result in faster recovery times and shorter hospital stays,” said Arbuckle.

Some of the generous organizations contributing to Light a Bulb include Army, Navy, Airforce Vets Unit 5, South Interior Power Pioneers, Desert Cove Homeowners’ Association and Alpine Centre Book Warehouse.

Light a Bulb brochures have been delivered this week to homes in the North Okanagan.  Go online to make a secure donation or mail your cheque: Attn. VJH Foundation, 2101-32nd Street, Vernon BC V1T 5L2
