VERNON - Australians celebrated their national day skiing in a unique way yesterday and a video of the event appears to be gaining traction on social media.
And why not.
The Aussies took to the slopes of Silver Star on Australia Day yesterday, Jan. 26, dressed for the beach in bikinis and shorts.
Silver Star Mountain Resort calls it their “Annual Australia Day Bikini Run”. Skiers and snowboarders from everywhere are invited to ride the slopes and dress for the beach.
The popular ski-resort near Vernon claims the mountain is most popular at this time of the year when Australian tourists are on summer holidays.
