Vice President of Thompson Rivers University dies

KAMLOOPS -  The  Vice President of Advancement at Thompson Rivers University has died.

Christopher Seguin was a member of the community and worked at the local university. He was an active member of TRU and made contributions to not only his community, but others surrounding the city.

Seguin was a graduate of South Kamloops Secondary School before leaving to study linguistics at Simon Fraser University. He returned to Kamloops and was appointed Vice President of Advancement at TRU in 2007.

This summer, Seguin made contributions to helping wildfire evacuees.

Deputy Mayor Arjun Singh confirmed that Christopher Seguin, who was ill, has passed away but no details have been released about his death.
