Very little rain expected this week in Kamloops, Okanagan

Environment Canada is calling for a mostly pleasant, spring-like week in Kamloops and the Okanagan, with seasonal temperatures and only a slight chance of rain today, Wednesday and Friday night.

Kamloops and Okanagan residents can look forward to a pleasant week of spring weather as temperatures are expected to hover around or above seasonal norms with only a slight chance of rain through to the weekend.

There isn't much sign of spring showers in this week’s forecast, although there is a possibility you could see a shower or two every couple of days.

Today, May 10, there is a 30 per cent chance of showers for Kamloops and the Okanagan, along with a high of 19 Celsius for Kamloops, Kelowna and Vernon. Penticton should reach a high of 21 C today.

There’s only a 30 per cent possibility of showers Wednesday and Wednesday night, and a 60 per cent threat of rain Friday night, but the rest of the week is expected to be mostly sunny with seasonal highs in the low 20s for Kamloops and the Okanagan.

Tuesday and Thursday look like the best days of the work week, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 20s for both days.

Mostly cloudy skies are forecast for Wednesday and Friday, with next weekend looking like a mix of sun and cloud with highs in the low 20s on Saturday, and cloudy skies with a high of 21 to 22 C on Sunday.

Kamloops's average daily high and low for early May is 21 C and 7 C, while the average daily high and low for Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton is 19 C and 6 C.
