When it comes to what exactly took place Davison's lips are firmly sealed.

While sworn to secrecy by the TV show's production crew, Davison can say the contestants had to make pies.

"It was a challenging task," she said. "It was interesting to watch, there was some that knew what they were doing, and others not so much... that's part of the fun."

Davison's daughter-in-law Rachel got to judge the final offerings the contestants whipped up.

Davison said The Amazing Race Canada has been scheduled to film at the orchard for several years, but COVID always prevented it from happening.

"We were honoured to be included, the blossoms were out... the weather held out, barely, but it did," she said.
