PENTICTON - It must have been some concert.

A man visiting from out of town ran into some issues following Saturday’s, July 8, The Offspring and Sublime with Rome concert in Penticton.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says a Vernon man called police to report the theft of his Dodge Ram pickup after waking up in a ditch near the South Okanagan Events Centre on Sunday morning, July 9, with no shorts on.

His truck keys were in those missing shorts, and upon his return to his hotel, discovered his truck was gone.

Police were alerted and began looking for the vehicle, notifying neighbouring detachments in the process, Wrigglesworth says.

The man called police later that afternoon to tell police he’d located his truck and it hadn’t been stolen after all.

Wrigglesworth says the man had forgotten he had parked it around the corner from his hotel.

No word if his missing shorts were recovered.
