VERNON, B.C. - A B.C. Mountie who took photographs at the finish line of the Boston Marathon before the deadly explosions says he's sharing his pictures with U.S. investigators.

Corp. Gerry Kovacs of Vernon says he took dozens of photos by the finish line over an eight-hour period while he waited for his wife to finish the race on Monday.

He says he was about a block away from the line when the explosions occurred, and he and his wife were not hurt.

When they arrived at Boston airport for their flight home, Kovacs says departing passengers were asked by American officials if they might have any potential evidence, and he said he did.

However, he say he can't talk in any detail about what his photographs showed or depicted.

Kovacs says he learned a great deal about emergency planning from the event, including the use of motorcycle police to get around such a chaotic scene. (CICF,CKIZ)
