KAMLOOPS- A pick-up truck was engulfed in flames on the Trans-Canada Highway near Kamloops last night.
Kamloops Fire Rescue responded to a call of a motor vehicle incident on Peterson Creek bypass shortly after 9:30 p.m., Platoon Captain Wade Lindoff reports in a phone interview. Lindoff was not at the scene last night, however used the written records to relay information.
When the crews arrived on-scene there was the pick-up truck fully involved in flames in the westbound lane. The truck had collided with a street lamp and burst in to flames.
The fire was extinguished and the driver was given precautionary treatment for spinal injuries.
At this time there is no word on what exactly caused the truck to ignite.
