KAMLOOPS - A vehicle crash in Upper Sahali has caused a power outage to more than 1,000 customers this evening.
B.C. Hydro is reporting a ‘motor vehicle accident’ just after 7 p.m. caused an outage to 1,066 customers in the area east of Glencoe Place, south of Chino Place and north of Tuxford Drive. The crash occurred on Summit Drive.
The power company is estimating power will be restored by 1 a.m.
A secondary outage affecting nearly 500 customers in an area northeast of Gleneagles Drive and south of Gordonhord Crescent that began a few minutes later is under investigation. There is currently no estimated time for power to be restored to this area.
