Vees expand free season ticket offer to kids 17 and under

PENTICTON, BC –The Penticton Vees Jr. ‘A’ Hockey Club is pleased to announce a new season ticket incentive geared towards children & youth in the South Okanagan.

President, GM and Head Coach Fred Harbinson says it’s important to get younger fans turned on to the Vees, "We have received a tremendous amount of interest from families outside of minor hockey and we want to make watching Vees hockey as affordable as possible. We need to grow the game and this is one step in getting younger people engaged with our sport.”

Children & youth between the ages of 4 and 17 will receive a free season’s pass if their parent/guardian(s) buy a season ticket(s). To clarify, if both parents/guardians buys one of the three season ticket packages, their child or children registered  receive a free pass for the 2013-2014 season (single parent families only need to buy a season ticket)(Children three and under are free).

The team has introduced three pricing levels, with fans having the option to buy a $149, $169 or a $199 package for the 2013-2014 season. The three pricing levels are based on designated sections in the SOEC. Families have until Monday, August 26th to take advantage of this ticket incentive. After August 26th, season ticket pricing will revert back to regular pricing levels from the 2012-2013 season.

The Vees have also introduced a payment plan for would be season ticket buyers. A 25 percent deposit is required upon submitting your season ticket application. However, fans will have the option to pay the remaining balance of their season ticket over three equal payments. To qualify for the payment plan for this new ticket initiative, parents must purchase their season tickets by August 26th.
