VAVENBY - All who were on the 'do not use' order in Vavenby can resume water consumption.

Interior Health has confirmed that the 'do not use' order for the Vavenby Community Water System has been rescinded.

Laboratory test results show that the water had not been contaminated after a semi-truck crashed into the North Thompson River earlier this week, according to a Thompson Nicola Regional District media release.

Water samples were taken from various locations near the system.
