PASADENA, Calif. - The nudity on HBO's "Girls" has raised eyebrows. A question about it raised the ire of the show's producers.

At a session Thursday with the Television Critics Association to promote the comedy's new season, a reporter asked Lena Dunham, the show's creator and star, why her character was often naked.

Dunham said the nudity was a realistic expression of life, adding that if the reporter was "not into me" that was his problem. Later, executive producer Jenni Konner said the line of questioning was inappropriate and put her into a "rage spiral."

The show about 20-something friends in New York returns Sunday for its third season. HBO said Thursday it's ordered a fourth season of "Girls."
