More than a million defective General Electric Co. dishwashers prone to catching fire are among a short list of recalled consumer products this week. The list also includes a line of children's pyjamas that have failed to meet flammability standards.

CHILDREN'S Pyjamas
DETAILS: Children's Pajamas imported by My Clothes Inc. of Montgomery, Ala. They were sold nationwide from August 2011 through December 2011. The two types of pyjamas being recalled are a long-sleeved nightgown and a set including a long-sleeved shirt and long pants. The long-sleeved nightgown, Style 14, is cotton knit with multi-colored polka dots. The shirt and pants set, Style 15 or Style 314RG, is cotton with a red and white gingham print pattern and white piping on the collar, sleeves and pant legs. The style number and the words "PJs by My Clothes" are printed on tags sewn into the centre back of the gown, the neck of the shirt and the rear waistband of the pants.
WHY: The pyjamas fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear, posing a risk to children of burns.
INCIDENTS: None reported.

DISHWASHERS
DETAILS: GE, GE Adora, GE Eterna, GE Profile and Hotpoint dishwashers. The dishwashers were sold nationwide from March 2006 through August 2009 and they came in black, white, bisque, stainless steel and CleanSteel colours and finishes. Consumers should stop using the dishwashers and contact GE.
WHY: An electrical failure in the heating system poses a fire hazard.
INCIDENTS: Fifteen reports of heating failures, including seven fires. Three of those fires caused extensive property damage, but there were no reports of injuries.
