EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Bruce Springsteen — and his mom — are probably sleeping in after the rocker's late-night 63rd birthday celebration in New Jersey.
The rocker was on stage until just before 2 a.m. Sunday in MetLife Stadium. He cut up a birthday cake shaped like a giant guitar, passing out pieces to some audience members.
Springsteen's 87-year-old mother, Adele, joined him for the final song, "Twist and Shout," singing background vocals and dancing with his mother-in-law.
His show in the open-air stadium didn't begin until 10:30 p.m., delayed by authorities because of a thunderstorm and downpour.
