DALLAS - Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld is being honoured with a fashion award at the Neiman Marcus flagship store.
The honour comes a day after a Chanel fashion show in Dallas featuring models wearing fringe, feathers and leather.
Lagerfeld accepted the Neiman Marcus Award for Distinguished Service in the Field of Fashion Wednesday. It's the same award that brought Coco Chanel to Dallas in 1957.
Vogue editor Anna Wintour says, "Everything is bigger in Texas and Karl has finally found a place that thinks and acts on the epic scale that he does."
Lagerfeld picks a city linked to the fashion house for a show staged each December highlighting the work of Chanel artisans.
Lagerfeld is the only person who's won the Neiman Marcus award twice. He also won in 1980.
