NEW YORK, N.Y. - For one week, AMC's "The Walking Dead" is the most popular drama on television.
AMC's creep fest often beats everything the broadcast networks offer among young viewers. But it's much more unusual to achieve this feat when people of all age are counted. The Nielsen company said there's one prominent asterisk: CBS' "NCIS" and "NCIS: Los Angeles" were airing reruns last week. Those shows would have likely beaten "The Walking Dead" with original episodes.
Given how difficult it is for broadcasters to establish new dramas on the air these days, ABC and NBC had some encouraging results with "Resurrection" and "Believe" last week.
The CBS comedy "The Big Bang Theory" was the most-watched program of the week.
