PRINCETON, Mass. - The Latest on the investigation into the slaying of a runner from New York City whose body was found in woods near her mother's home in Princeton, Massachusetts (all times local):

9:10 p.m.

Residents of a Massachusetts town have held a vigil for a woman who went for a run near her mother's home and later was found dead in the woods nearby.

Authorities have urged residents of Princeton to remain vigilant. They say "nothing has been ruled in or out" in the death of Vanessa Marcotte. They say they're receiving "a lot of good information" from calls to an anonymous tip line.

The 27-year-old Marcotte was an account manager for Google in New York City. She was in Princeton over the weekend visiting her mother. Her body was found Sunday night about a half-mile from her mother's home.

Town residents gathered at a church to remember her Tuesday.

Mountain View, California-based Google says it's "shocked and saddened" by her killing.

Authorities are urging residents of a Massachusetts town to remain vigilant two days after the body of a New York City woman who went for a run near her mother's home was found in the woods there.

Worcester (WUS'-tur) District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said Tuesday "nothing has been ruled in or out" in the death of Vanessa Marcotte in Princeton.

The 27-year-old Marcotte was an account manager for Google in New York. She was in Princeton over the weekend visiting her mother. Her body was found Sunday night about a half-mile from her mother's home.

Early says an autopsy has been completed, but he won't disclose how Marcotte died. He says authorities are receiving "a lot of good information" from calls to an anonymous tip line.

Residents of a central Massachusetts town will hold a candlelight vigil to honour a New York City woman who was slain while visiting her mother.

Vanessa Marcotte's body was found in Princeton on Sunday, in woods about a half-mile from her mother's home. The town of 3,500 is located about 40 miles west of Boston.

Authorities have said they are unsure whether Marcotte was targeted or whether it was a random attack. Marcotte worked as an account manager at Google in New York City.

Princeton Town Administrator Nina Nazarian said townspeople are planning to hold a vigil at the First Congregational Church on Tuesday evening to show support for Marcotte's family.

A Boston University professor says a Google account manager who was found slain in central Massachusetts during the weekend was "remarkably sweet" and knew at a young age what she wanted to do in her career.

Vanessa Marcotte left her mother's house in Princeton on Sunday afternoon for a run, but never returned. Her body was found in woods about a half-mile away Sunday night.

Boston University professor Steve Quigley says Marcotte was very interested in search engine marketing when she was a student in his New Media class in 2010. Quigley says Marcotte "immediately knew that's what she wanted to do."

Authorities are asking for the public's help in the investigation into the killing of a New York City woman whose body was found in woods near her mother's home in central Massachusetts.

Vanessa Marcotte left her mother's house in the small town of Princeton on Sunday to go for a run, but never returned. Her body was found Sunday evening.

The 27-year-old Marcotte worked as an account manager in New York for Google. She graduated from Boston University in 2011.

Massachusetts state police set up an anonymous tip line on Tuesday for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious Sunday afternoon. Police wrote on their Facebook page that "no tip is inconsequential or irrelevant."

Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. says police found the body of 27-year-old Vanessa Marcotte about a half-mile from her mother's home in Princeton on Sunday night after she didn't return from an afternoon walk or run. He says it appears to be a homicide. Authorities don't know if the attack was random and are asking the public to stay alert and contact them if they see anything unusual.

The Boston University graduate worked in New York as an account executive for Google. The company says she was a much loved member of the team.
