MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (AP) _ Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $20.64 billion.
The Mountain View, California-based company said it had net income of $30.69 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 12 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $26.69 per share.
The internet search leader posted revenue of $75.33 billion in the period. After subtracting Alphabet's advertising commissions, revenue was $61.9 billion, also topping Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $59.32 billion.
