NEW ORLEANS - Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has met with New Orleans police and was issued a court summons after a New Orleans bartender says he pushed her.
On Tuesday, police issued an arrest warrant for the actor after the Bourbon Street bartender complained. Police say the unidentified bartender told them Gooding became upset after patrons started asking him to pose for photos with them at about 3 a.m. that morning.
On Wednesday, Gooding's publicist told The Associated Press that the actor met with police and was "moving swiftly to resolve this misunderstanding." Calls to Gooding's attorney were not immediately returned.
New Orleans police spokeswoman Remi Braden says the arrest warrant was lifted after the summons was issued.
The actor is in New Orleans filming a movie.
