Luukko, president of Flyers' owner Comcast-Spectacor resigns; Dave Scott acting president

PHILADELPHIA - Comcast-Spectacor says that its president and chief operating officer, Peter Luukko, has resigned from the company after deciding to pursue other entrepreneurial activities.

The Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment company, which owns the National Hockey League's Flyers and runs convention centres and sports facilities around the world, says Luukko decided to monetize his interest in the company. He has been with Comcast-Spectacor for more than 25 years.

Comcast-Spectacor owns the Wells Fargo Center where the Flyers and the NBA's 76ers play.

Retired Comcast Cable chief financial officer and senior executive vice-president Dave Scott will step in as acting president and Gary Rostic will join Comcast-Spectacor as its CFO.
