CHICAGO - The Latest on the arrests in the Chicago deaths of six family members (all times local):

5:30 p.m.

Authorities say one of two suspects in the slayings of six family members whose bodies were found in a Chicago house in February was related to the family and the motive was robbery.

Police announced charges Thursday against 22-year-old Diego Uribe and his girlfriend, 19-year-old Jafeth Ramos. Uribe was a cousin of one of the family members.

Both Uribe and Ramos are charged with six counts of first-degree murder. Police say DNA evidence and cellphone records link Uribe to the crime.

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson says Ramos was an "accomplice to this unspeakable act" and the motive was to rob the family for money.

Authorities found the bodies Feb. 4 in the Gage Park neighbourhood. Five of the victims were stabbed to death. The sixth died of multiple gunshot wounds.
