Victim out of hospital after attacks that killed 8 others

WESTMORELAND, Tenn. - A woman who survived attacks that killed eight other people in Tennessee in April is out of the hospital.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Susan Niland says the only survivor of the attacks left the hospital Wednesday. Authorities identified her as Mary Sue Hosale.

Hosale's release came the same day 25-year-old Michael Cummins was in court to see his case ordered to a grand jury. Cummins is charged with killing eight people in rural Westmoreland, including his parents, uncle and a 12-year-old girl. Six bodies were found at one home. Two were found at separate scenes.

Niland says Hosale is another relative of Cummins.

TBI Special Agent Andrew Graves said Hosale was significantly injured and she couldn't remember anything about the incident when he spoke with her at the hospital.
