Former 3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell set for trial Monday in Mississippi on DUI charge

D'IBERVILLE, Miss. - Former 3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell is set to go on trial in Mississippi on Monday on a charge of second-offence driving under the influence of a substance other than alcohol.

The 43-year-old Harrell is under house arrest in Nashville on a charge of vehicular homicide by intoxication.

The Sun Herald reports that Municipal Judge Albert Fountain will preside over the trial.

Harrell was arrested on the second-offence DUI charge Feb. 18, 2014.

He was convicted of a first-offence drug-related DUI in D'Iberville, Mississippi about a month before he was involved in the fatal crash in Nashville.

In the Nashville case, Harrell is accused of driving impaired by prescription drugs and alcohol when he was involved in a crash in April 2013.
