A snow warning remains in effect for Interior highways today.

"A frontal system moving across the British Columbia Interior continues to bring snow to most southern highway passes for the Thanksgiving long weekend," according to a statement from Environment Canada.

"As snow levels continue to drop, precipitation from the system will be snow over the highest elevations. An additional 2 to 10 cm of snow is expected today over these areas."

A weather warning is currently in effect for the Coquihalla from Hope to Merritt, the Trans-Canada from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass and the Okanagan Connector from Kelowna to Merritt.

On Highway 5 from Merritt to Kamloops, heavy snow is expected, up to 20 cm.

"Intensity of the snow may fluctuate due to the convective nature of the snow. The heavy snow is forecast to taper off this evening," according to Environment Canada.

Road conditions are available online through DriveB.C.

To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.

Winter tires or chains are required on most routes in British Columbia from Oct. 1 to April 30.
