Comedian Jimmy Carr is coming to a stage in Kelowna for the first time and tickets go on sale tomorrow.

The comic, writer, actor and TV host from the UK, famous for his deadpan delivery and unique laugh, is travelling across the country with his new show Jimmy Carr: Terribly Funny Tour, kicking off the fun in Ontario in May and arriving at venues in B.C. in June.

Carr was the first UK comedian to sign a stand-up deal with Netflix in 2015, later releasing three specials Funny Business in 2016, Best of Ultimate Gold Greatest Hits, 2017 and His Dark Material in 2021.

Montreal's Just for Laughs Comedy Festival describes Carr as “one of the biggest-selling comedy acts in the world,” where he “consistently performs stand-up to sell-out crowds across the globe.”

Carr has been a guest many times on The Tonight Show, The Late, Late Show and Late Night With Conan O’Brien. He has performed at the Just For Laughs since 2003 and written two books.

Carr performs at Kelowna’s Prospera Place on Sunday, June 25, and ticket presales are available here on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 10 a.m.
