KELOWNA - Kelowna firefighters were called in to rescue two women and a dog stuck on a hillside on trails in the Crawford Falls area this afternoon.
The rope rescue team, an all-terrain vehicle and eight firefighters were dispatched to the scene today, Sept. 3, according to a Kelowna Fire Department media release.
Firefighters were lowered approximately 50 feet to the women and the dog.
They were secured in harnesses and brought up to the top of the hill where they were taken to a waiting ambulance by ATV.
No word from fire officials on how badly the women were hurt. The fire department didn't say if the dog was injured.
