VERNON - A split second decision turned into a two-vehicle accident in Vernon yesterday that could have been much worse than it was.
Two vehicles travelling south bound on 43rd St. collided around 3 p.m. after the driver of a Dodge Ram allegedly indicated a right-hand turn, but suddenly turned left, colliding with a Honda Civic. After being struck by the Dodge Ram, the driver of the Honda Civic lost control, hit a power pole and ended up in a residential yard near the 16th Avenue and 43rd Street corner.
While there was significant damage to the fence, no injuries were reported, according to police.
