KAMLOOPS - Two teenagers crossing the road in a marked crosswalk were injured after being hit by a vehicle yesterday evening.

Around 6:45 p.m., yesterday, March 4, two 17-year-olds were crossing Westsyde Road in a marked crosswalk near Overlander Drive when they were hit by a vehicle, Cpl. Stephen Newport says in a release.

Both were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor and RCMP continue to investigate.
