KAMLOOPS - Two teens have been arrested following an armed robbery that took place in downtown Kamloops early Sunday evening.
An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman allegedly entered a vehicle on St. Paul Street West where two other teens were seated around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, and presented knives before demanding phones and cash.
The suspects then forced the couple to drive them to the North Shore and back before fleeing the vehicle on Victoria Street West.
Officers were able to identify the suspects involved and Cpl. Cheryl Bush says the incident is drug related.
The 18-year-old and 17-year-old were arrested and both of the accused will make court appearances later today.
RCMP continue to investigate.
