The City of Penticton says vandalism has resulted in the closure of two public washrooms.
On Dec. 11 and 12, public washrooms in two parks suffered serious damages, according to a City of Penticton media release.
The first incident took place at Okanagan Lake Park washrooms where internal fixtures and power supply lines were damaged. The second incident was at Lakawanna Park where a lone individual caused damage.
“The behaviour by those responsible was not only unacceptable, their actions threatened the safety of others, as well as themselves,” bylaw supervisor Tina Siebert said in the release.
The washrooms will be closed for indefinite period while repairs take place.
