PENTICTON - Penticton is going to have two Christmas toy drives this year.

The 22nd annual Toys for Tots to Teens will return this year at a new location and with a new format, according to event coordinator Karen Davey.

This year’s Toys for Tots to Teens will take place Nov. 24 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Canadian Tire parking lot at 960 Railway St.

Everyone is invited to donate a new, unwrapped toy, gift card or cash. Canadian Tire will match dollar for dollar any toy purchased in the store.

Santa Claus will also be stopping by between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m., and again from 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. for photographs.

TIm Hortons and Marketplace IGA will be on site to offer food and drinks to all who donate.

For more information, contact event coordinator Karen Davy at 250-770-2824.

The Toys for Tots to Teens announcement follows on the heels of an announcement earlier this week by Gateway Casinos and Entertainment and Locolanding Adventure Park of their collaborative effort to provide gifts for underprivileged South Okanagan youth and teens through the first annual GatewayGIves and Locolanding Community Toy Drive.

The Community toy drive takes place November 26 at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.
