Popular 'Storage Wars' coming north of the border; filming to start in May

TORONTO - Get ready for "Storage Wars," Canadian style.

OLN says a Canuck version of the popular U.S. reality series is set to begin filming in Ontario next month.

"Storage Wars Canada" will feature four professional buyers and their teams bidding on the contents of abandoned storage containers.

Each squad will only be given minutes to scan the contents of a locker, using a flashlight beam.

The show is currently conducting a search for treasure hunters, auctioneers and appraisers for the new series, to be produced by Proper Television.

Auctioneers Dan and Laura Dotson — stars of the U.S. version of "Storage Wars" — are expected in Toronto today to talk up the Canadian incarnation.
