Truck leaves scene after hitting cyclist in Kamloops

A cyclist sustained minor injuries in Kamloops today after being hit by a white truck that left the scene of the accident.

On Aug. 15, at approximately 9 a.m. police received a complaint that a cyclist was hit by the truck near the intersection of Monmouth Drive and Summit Drive, according to a RCMP press release.

The white pickup truck stopped momentarily, then left without providing any information, according to the release.

Witnesses on scene helped the cyclist who was taken to a medical facility with minor injuries.

The police investigation is ongoing and the RCMP is are asking anyone who witnessed the accident to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
