KAMLOOPS - Researchers from Thompson Rivers University have partnered with the city to conduct a survey on the mobile safe injection sites in Kamloops.

Kamloops currently has two mobile supervised consumption sites, one on the North Shore at 433 Tranquille Rd. and another on the South Shore at 569 Seymour St., according to Interior Health.

The survey is to determine the impact of the mobile consumption sites on residents in the community, a summary of the survey says.

It will also examine the opinions and perceptions of residents in the neighbourhoods close to the consumption sites.

The information received from the surveys will be given to policymakers and other stakeholders in Kamloops and may be used for a presentation or publication, the survey says.

If you have any concerns about the survey contact research investigator Dr. Ehsan Latif at 250-377-6026.
