A travelling carnival from the Lower Mainland is coming to Lumby and Penticton this month, bringing lots of fun and rides, carnival games and fair food favourites like cotton candy and mini donuts.
Shooting Star Amusements has been travelling to towns big and small for two decades and in recent years has expanded the number of events it attends and has also added to its list of rides including a Spider ride and Mini Pirate Ship, according to the company's website.
The carnival will open in Lumby for Lumby Days on Friday, June 9, Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11.
It stops in Penticton for Carnival Days from Thursday, June 15, to Sunday, June 18, at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

Day ride wristbands are now available to buy online. They cost between $35 and $40 if ordered in time for presale discounts. Regular tickets are also available.
