American country music heavyweight Tim McGraw will headline the return of the Rockin’ River Music Festival in Merritt this summer.

The hugely popular annual country music festival had been cancelled for the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the past, Rockin’ River has had big names like Toby Keith, Eric Church and Keith Urban.

McGraw is among the most successful artists within the country music genre. He's won numerous music awards including three Grammys, his wife of 26 years is singer Faith Hill, and his popular songs include Humble And Kind and Live Like You Were Dying.

Other headliners at this year’s festival include Darius Rucker, Hardy and Billy Currington. There will be more than 50 performances on three stages.

Tickets for the festival go on sale on March 17 at 10 a.m. Tickets start at $179 for a four-day pass, and single-day tickets are available as well.
