OLIVER - The Oliver Half Corked Marathon is coming back for its 11th year on May 25, 2019, with plans for a bigger and better race following this year’s success.

The popular race opens its ticket lottery starting on Nov. 1 at 9 a.m., running for one week. The lottery offers prospective participants a chance to win one of the 1,500 spots in the popular 18 km route through Oliver area vineyards, with wine stations set up along the way.

Executive director of the Oliver Osoyoos Winery Association Jennifer Busmann says plans are underway to make the race better following this year’s success.

“Together with our winemakers and chefs, we love showcasing our incredible region to our Half Corked Marathon guests; it’s a fantastic way to kick start the summer in Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country,” Busmann says.

The lottery closes on Nov. 8 at 11:59 p.m. Entrants will be selected at random for the opportunity to purchase two tickets to the 2019 event.
