Three search warrants were executed this week in Kamloops, leading to two arrests and a large seizure of cash and various drugs.

The Kamloops RCMP worked alongside the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of B.C. to crack down on drug trafficking. This week, search warrants were executed at Sunshine Gardens Superstore and two residences, one in the 100 Block of Knollwood Drive and the 1000 Block of Kinross Place, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP found $350,000 in cash at the Sunshine Garden Superstore, as well as substantial amounts of methamphetamines, cocaine, fentanyl and marijuana. Also uncovered during the searches was a 40-calibre handgun with ammunition and various other items related to drug trafficking.

A 24-year-old and a 50-year-old man were arrested during the searches, but have since been released from custody.

Kamloops RCMP will continue their investigation by reviewing all of the evidence seized and passing along the information to the B.C. Prosecution Service, who will determine the charges. No updates will be given until charges are approved.
