KELOWNA - The National Hockey League Central Scouting rankings are out for the 2015 draft and three Rockets have made the list this year.
Nick Merkley sits at 23rd among North American skaters. The Calgary native has 90 points in 72 games this season and has already tallied six points in four playoff games.
With 11 points and 33 penalty minutes in 64 games defenseman Devante Stephens is ranked 116th.
Hometown boy defenseman Joe Gatenby sits at 174th and finished the season with 15 points and 49 penalty minutes in 65 games.
The Kelowna Rockets finished the regular season at the top of the Western Conference with a 53-13-5-1 record, the second best record in the Western Hockey League.
The team swept Tri-City in the first round of the playoffs and will now take on Victoria. Round two will start with two home games, one on Friday, April 10 and then again on Saturday.
The 2015 NHL Draft will take place June 26 to 27 in Florida.
