Three people were transported to hospital following a collision involving a transport truck and a minivan on Highway 3 west of Princeton yesterday.

Princeton RCMP responded to the crash around 10:45 a.m. yesterday, Aug. 6, to the Placer Mountain Forest Service Road and Highway 3, about 40 kilometres west of Princeton, according to RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.

A westbound semi-trailer lost control at a hairpin turn and tipped over, colliding with a Toyota Sienna minivan.

The two occupants of the Toyota and the driver of the semi were taken to hospital suffering from varying degrees of injury, Saunderson said.

The highway was shut down for around six hours as a result of the collision.

RCMP continue to investigate.
