Three people fighting for their lives after head-on crash north of Keremeos

A head-on crash north of Keremeos yesterday evening sent four people to hospital, three with life-threatening injuries.

RCMP officers, firefighters and paramedics were called to the collision between a Mazda Protege and a Toyota Corolla on Highway 3A north of Ollala at around 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP said the driver of the Mazda Protege crossed the centre line while travelling south resulting in a head-on collision with an oncoming Toyota Corolla.

The three individuals in the Mazda were transported to the hospital with serious life-threatening injuries. The Toyota driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and was also taken the hospital.

Charges under the Criminal Code and the BC Motor Vehicle Act have not yet been ruled out.

Anyone who may have information, including motorists who may have witnessed this collision or have dash cam video, is asked to contact the RCMP BC Highway Patrol in Keremeos at 250-499-2250.
