RCMP are investigating a shooting in Keremeos over the weekend that sent one man to hospital.

The Penticton RCMP’s general investigative section has taken over investigation of the incident, which occurred on Saturday, Sept. 26, on a Keremeos property, according to an RCMP media release.

A victim suffering from a gunshot wound was taken to a local medical clinic prior to being transported by air ambulance to hospital.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening, RCMP said.

Three individuals were arrested at the scene and have since been released from custody as the investigation continues.

Police do not believe public safety is as risk.

In order to protect the integrity of the investigation, RCMP said no further information will be released to the public at this time.
