KELOWNA - A Kelowna plant sale on Saturday will focus on plants that love the hot, dry Okanagan summers.
The Okanagan Xeriscape Association will have more than 3,000 drought-tolerant plants for sale from 9 a.m. to noon at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden at the H2O Fitness + Adventure Centre on Gordon Drive, according to a media release.
Along with offerings from association members, there will be plants offered by nurseries specializing in such growing techniques, along with information about irrigation, seeds and soils.
Proceeds from the sale go towards supporting the garden.
Okanagan’s Master Gardeners, the Okanagan Basin Water Board, the Okanagan Collaborative Conservation Program, Seedsco, Glengrow and SiteOne Irrigation will also be on hand.
For more information or to join the association, go to the Okanagan Xeriscape Association website here.
