This is why you don't pass a snowplow on the right

A short video posted to the BC Transportation Twitter account shows why drivers should never attempt to pass a snowplow on the right.

It may be tempting to attempt to navigate arround a snowplow, but BC Transportation is reminding drivers to be patient.

In a short video posted to the BC Transportation's Twitter feed, a white pickup passes a snowlow on the right through a barrage of snow.

"This is not safe and not permitted and can result in a fine," BC Transportation said in the Tweet. "Plow operators are there to help you and will pull over to allow you to pass when they are able."

According to BC Transportation, plows are often equipped with extendable wings that may not be visible through the snow.
