Crime Stoppers is asking the public for help after two thieves snatched $30,000 worth of sunglasses and prescription frames from a Lake Country optometrist last week.

The thieves were in and out of the optometrists in two-minutes after they smashed the glass front door to get in.

According to a Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers media release, the break-in happened at 4:36 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at the optometry business at the Turtle Bay Crossing in Lake Country.

The two thieves shattered several display counters and filled garbage can with $30,000 worth of merchandise. Some of the sunglasses and frames stolen were from brands including Jimmy Choo, Smith, Ray-Ban, Tom Ford and Maui Jim’s.

Crime Stoppers is asking the public for help in identifying the suspects.

The larger suspect wore a newer green coat with a hood over his head and face, along with a blue surgical face mask and a headlamp. The shorter suspect, who may be female, wore a black coat with its hood up. Both suspects wore gloves.
