There's distracted driving and then there's this guy

A distracted driver found a unique way to have handsfree devices in Vancouver, but it didn't work.

VANCOUVER - A driver in Vancouver has gone to great lengths to enjoy his devices while he drives — but they didn't work.

This afternoon, Nov. 15, Vancouver Police Department's Traffic Unit tweeted a picture of a driver who had an iPad and cellphone on the steering wheel of his Lexus.

"Can't make it up," the tweet begins. "Guy had iPad and cell phone attached by strings on steering wheel while driving!"

These aren't the handsfree devices police are talking about when it comes to distracted driving.

Although the guy tried his best, he was still slapped with a ticket. A for effort. It's still cheaper than what it would cost to remove those items if the airbag blew.
