There's a spring theme to things to do in Penticton this weekend

PENTICTON - The annual Kiwanis Music Festival and the annual Home Renovation Show are just two of the events happening this weekend in Penticton.

The Penticton Kiwanis Music Festival starts today, March 1, with performances through March and April at various locations in Penticton. The youth performing arts festival and competition celebrates dance, speech arts, voice and instrumental performers.

Friday Night Live features the Steve Jones Band at the Summerland Arts & Cultural Centre today at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy live music and refreshments for $10 at the door.

Little Big Town performs at the South Okanagan Events Centre today. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. as the Grammy award-winning group brings its 20-plus city tour to Penticton. Check here for tickets.

The 24th annual Home Renovation Show takes place tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. Exhibitors call it the best show in the Okanagan, featuring home building and renovations products and over 145 vendors. It will cost you $5 to get in. Children’s Showcase presents Ideas Bobert! by CandyBones Theatre out of Vancouver Sunday from 1:45 to 3 p.m. at the Cleland Community Theatre. The show features tap dance, puppetry, stop-motion animation projections and physical comedy. Tickets are $12 and available at Eventbrite here.

The Wine Knot Wedding Fair and Bridal Market brings local wedding vendors under one roof while patrons sip on wine at Time Winery and Kitchen at 361 Martin St. in Penticton on Sunday from 12:30 to 4 p.m. The $15 ticket includes a glass of sparkling wine and complimentary wine tasting, as well as 15 per cent off wine sales.
