There is fresh snow at ski resorts in the Thompson-Okanagan

The snow is starting to fall and stick at ski hills in the Thompson-Okanagan.

For skiers and boarders chomping at the bit, the news of the fresh snow will no doubt add to the excitement that the ski season is fast approaching.

Across the Thompson-Okanagan footage from webcams at the various ski resorts show snow on the ground and mountains covered with cloud. 

Vernon's SilverStar Mountain Resort reported 10 centimetres of new snow today, Oct. 21, and webcam footage showed the village covered in a thick layer of snow.

Kelowna's Big White Ski Resort reported 18 cm of the white stuff falling on the mountain yesterday, Oct. 20.

Kamloops Sun Peaks Resort reported a storm yesterday, Oct. 20, had left a blanket of snow across the ski hill with eager skiers and boarders commenting "keep it coming."

Webcam footage showed the mountain covered in thick cloud today with weather reports saying temperatures at the top of the ski lifts is -4 Celsius.

Penticton's Apex Resort also had good news for snow lovers, reporting 11 cm of snow falling on the ski hill in the last 24 hours.
